Who We Are?
BAKALCHA Agricultural Development and Environmental Protection Charity Organization is a community-focused charitable organization established with a vision of contributing to sustainable agricultural development, environmental protection, and the empowerment of communities.
The organization was initiated by Mr. Assefa Tilahun Debele, whose vision of establishing a charitable organization inspired him to bring together six friends who shared the same commitment. Through their collective vision and determination, BAKALCHA was established to serve communities and contribute to sustainable development.
At the time of the organization's establishment, Mr. Assefa Tilahun served as the Chairperson of the Board, providing leadership and guidance during the organization's founding period. He currently serves as the Executive Director, leading the organization and overseeing its activities and development.
BAKALCHA was officially established under the name "BAKALCHA Agricultural Developement and Environmental potection Charity Organization" and obtained its legal registration and certificate of legal personality from the Civil Society Organizations Authority of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on March 21,2013 E.C. under registration number 5535.
Our Purpose
BAKALCHA works to support communities through sustainable agricultural development, environmental protection, natural resource conservation, and community empowerment.
we believe that sustainable developemt begins with strong and empowered communities. Therefore, our work focuses on creating opportunities, protecting natural resources, promoting sustainable agricultural practicies, and supporting communities to build a more resilient future.
